Believe that everything happens for a reason…

Dr. Pamela Stone2 Blog active life chiropractic, chiropractic, healthy lifestyle, kennesaw

Are you someone who believes that “everything happens for a reason”? Or are there many questions left unanswered in your life? Do you see the good in people and are you enjoying life? Or are you struggling? Suicide and depression is on the increase in our society, and it really makes me sad. You see, I love life and yes while it can be hard and challenging at times, I really try hard to make the most of what I have and enjoy my life every day. But I realize that not everyone feels the same way. So when I came across this really cool quote, I knew I wanted it. And I wanted it for our office.

Life is too short to wake up in the mornings with regrets.

So, love the people who treat you right

and forgot about the ones who don’t.

And believe that everything happens for a reason…

If you get a chance – take it;

if it changes your life – let it.

Nobody said that it would be easy.

They just promised it would be worth it.

So what does that mean? Well this is what it means for me:

I don’t wake up with regrets. I generally love my life and what I’ve created in my personal life and my business. Yes there are bad decisions I’ve made along the way (and I do ultimately believe they happened for a reason, typically some kind of lesson I had to learn) and in general, I’ve learned from my mistakes. The people in my life who are negative and try to bring me down, are no longer in my life. It’s like defriending people on Facebook … a sort of cleansing in a way, eliminating the negativity and bringing on the positive.

I do believe that everything happens for a reason. And that is always REALLY hard to believe and figure out. And accident, a death, cancer …. I’m not sure exactly what those reasons are, though there must be some message about strength, growth & learning. I know when I had my bad bike accident in 2006 (check out video here on our YouTube channel), I know that there was a reason for that accident. I missed 4+ months of work. It stunk. It was painful. Yet good things came from that accident. A lot of good things. And it took me a while to figure that out, but that accident brought me so much and taught me so much, and I am stronger because of it.

I know there are people out there who are struggling. Reach out. To your friends, to me, to someone else. Reach inside yourself. Know that there are people out there who love you – seek them out and forget the negative ones. Take a chance. Things are not always easy, but life is truly worth it.

Running & Chiropractic

I finally did it.  It’s been 8 months. Eight long months of doing things different. An MRI, x-rays, 4 PRP injections, physical therapy, at home strength training, swimming, stretching, yoga, walking & hiking. Many of you know I have been a lifelong runner, it started in high school and hasn’t really stopped until now. So […]

Hydrocephalus in dogs

I wasn’t sure if I should write about this, since I’m mad, aggravated and sad at the same time. I’m also fairly private, there are certain personal things I just don’t talk about. I like to keep the office upbeat, healthy and fun. But Loka has become such a big part of the office, so […]

Important vs. Urgent

I was talking to someone earlier this month about how I balance out my life, and I kind of chuckled, because sometimes I just don’t think there’s any balance. And can you really balance a dozen or so high priority things?  Or is it a shuffle?  On my high priority list is managing the office, […]
