Adjusting dogs … people are discovering it!

Did you know that dogs can get adjusted? Horses, cats & dogs are some animals that really can benefit from chiropractic adjustments, and it seems that more & more people are finally learning about it. I love it when someone comes to me for the first time (or when they bring their animal to get adjusted) and they say they never knew animals could get adjusted. YES they can. 🙂 An animal has a spine and a nervous system, so if their body is subluxated, if there is lack of motion or improper motion in their spine or even their extremities, then they can probably benefit from chiropractic care.

I love it when I adjust an animal for the first time, and you can see a change in their gait or even their temperament. Animals become happier, they suddenly feel better and they aren’t sure why …. but they just do. And that’s a cool thing.

I work out of vet clinic and this past week I saw a new dog client, the owner had never been adjusted before but they wanted to try it for their dog. I love that kind of trust and hope! This week I also saw a cat, two puppies and several middle age dogs and a few geriatric dogs. Animal of any age can get adjusted and in my opinion, the best time to bring in a dog would be about 3-4 years old. So many problems in dogs start earlier in life, and as they age, degeneration sets in. So taking care of the problem before that stage, would be best for that animal.

There are so many cool stories about how animals benefit from chiropractic care … ask us about it, or better yet, let your animal experience it themselves.

Hydrocephalus in dogs

I wasn’t sure if I should write about this, since I’m mad, aggravated and sad at the same time. I’m also fairly private, there are certain personal things I just don’t talk about. I like to keep the office upbeat, healthy and fun. But Loka has become such a big part of the office, so […]

happy birthday to our office dog

A teenager!!  Yes, we have a teenager in our house now, but it may not be exactly what you think. This one is on the “downside” of her life unfortunately, but is as healthy as can be for her age.  Yes, I’m talking about my Golden Retriever Kalo, who turned 13 in January. I first […]

Our little sanctuary

Recently someone told me our office was like “a sanctuary” and I took that as a huge compliment. It is great to have a place of safety these days, a place where there are no mandates & no specific requirements. People make their own choices. People are loved, encouraged, and inspired; children laugh & play; […]
