A precise chiropractic adjustment
What a great month it was! April started with a flight to Vermont & some playtime in the snow, then down to Boston for more fun, then way down to Florida for playtime on the beach. While it was a great spring break, it certainly made packing a challenge. Upon returning from our trip, I made two trips to Braves games in their new stadium. I’ve adjusted some dogs and horses (yes that’s super cool). This month we also had my son’s birthday party, and just two days ago, we went and saw Billy Joel in concert. He played outside in the Braves stadium, and it was a beautiful night, great weather and great music.
The next day my husband and I were talking about the concert, thinking about how much he has been part of our lives growing up. Forty years – yes 40 years – Billy Joel’s music has been around, literally as I went through middle school & high school listening to him (and beyond). I know, many people reading this blog are not even 40 years old, and here I am talking about his music from 1974.
It’s hard to say what my favorite song is from him, but Scenes from an Italian Restaurant is arguably #1. Years ago when we went to concerts, there were always signs that said you could not take photos & could not record anything. Well now with smart phones, forget it — that rule is no longer possible and people are recording the songs during the show. So when this song began, I started recording part of it because I just love the song. Then I stopped for a bit, and started back up. The second time, I captured what I think is the best part of the song:
And as I stated on our office Instagram & Facebook page: “Do you think Billy Joel’s hands are important? Just like a #chiropractor relies on our hands for precise #adjustments, his fingers on the #keyboard are one of the things that make him spectacular, even at 67-yrs-old. I went to see him in concert last night, here is a short video from one of my favorite songs…and his incredible talent on the piano.”
And I agree, his hands are what make him great, just like a chiropractic adjustment. It must be specific. It must be precise. It must be visualized. It must be performed, over & over. And a good adjustment can make all the difference in the world.
