Webster’s Technique & Chiropractic Care
In the past two weeks, we started up three new patients who were pregnant — all with babies in the breech position, which is foot/butt down. Unless you are delivering with Dr. Tate in Atlanta or doing a home birth, all OB’s will require a C-section for those women, which is classified as major abdominal surgery. It’s a painful surgery and a 2-3 week recovery which is never easy with a newborn.
Thankfully, these women heard that chiropractic care could help them, and they came to my office. Fortunately someone cared enough about them to tell them about chiropractic care. Performing the Webster’s Technique, I’m very excited to report that all three babies turned head down. One woman already had her baby last weekend, a successful delivery while the other two women are still pregnant. The Webster Technique is for women whose baby is not in the ideal or head down position. It’s a specific chiropractic adjustment that balances out the muscles and ligaments, and removes subluxations and restrictions in the woman’s spine. If the baby moves on its own to the head down position, no C-section is necessary.
I love being able to help people in this way, allowing them to at least attempt a vaginal delivery and allowing the baby a great start in life.
