Sensory Processing Disorder & Chiropractic Care
A research journal recently documented the positive results between chiropractic care and a child with Sensory Processing Disorder, resulting in positive changes in a child’s life. A four year-old child presented to the chiropractors office with learning disabilities, reduced social interaction, increased stimulation behaviors, and apparent ADHD.
The child was adjusted, he made dietary changes and added specific exercises to stimulate the nervous system, and the boy made significant improvements. There was a decrease in outbursts, improved attention span and improved ability to focus. This is fantastic! How do you think his parents feel, now that they have a “new” child?
Any parent wants the best for their child, and some will do anything to help them. Others will make some changes, but not all. In all my years (11+) of being a chiropractor, I have witnessed children making significant changes in their lives when chiropractic care is added. On top of that, if dietary changes are added, then children typically lead a very healthy life.
Some parents don’t understand (or believe) the connection between nutrition, nervous system interference, and a child’s health & behavior. Once a child starts getting adjusted and nervous system interference is reduced or removed, the results are very positive. I wish more parents would understand that, and every child was under chiropractic care.
You never know what this country (or world, or even your community) will be like if people were walking around without interference in their nervous system. That is what chiropractors focus on….removing that interference so the body can function at it’s best.
